Bossard began her professional career as a commercial seafood expert at the age of 1999, after she began working aboard the F/V Sunset the 65' halibut schooner that has been a into a salmon tender for Murat Aritan, a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard has been is married to Aritan and they've joined together to assert their claim to the market. They both believe in saving as well as profiting from renewable resources in the seafood industry. In 2007, the mother of two children Bella age 3 and Andre 1 Bossard before returning to her home in Philadelphia, opened a direct market wholesale seafood distributor named Otolith.
